My Quick Rating

What Is a Thermador Coffee Machine?
Thermador coffee machines are unique compared to the majority of coffee machines, mainly due to the fact that they are built into the kitchen. Whether you want to make single or double-shot espressos, creamy cappuccinos, or simply hot water for tea, this machine can do it all.
With that in mind, let’s take a longer look at the advantages of this machine.
Thermador Coffee Machine Advantages
What are the advantages? Read below at what are the main things this coffee machine shines at.
Customization
We’ve found that the biggest advantage of the Thermador is its customization options. You can customize up to 8 personalized beverages to program your favorite drinks. We love this, especially as it allows for easy and quick coffee-making without telling the machine what to do every single time.
Another great advantage is its built-in wifi. This allows you to remote start the coffee machine, and also allows you to program multiple coffee orders from your own phone. What an idea!
It Looks Nice
It’s not some bulky eyesore – it’s part of the furniture. The built-in design makes it look fantastic, and its full-color LCD screen adds to the design, allowing you to see the drink selection and change the size and temperature control from this screen.
Water Supply
There are two versions of this model, plumbed and non-plumbed. If you get the plumbed version, it will have a direct water supply stopping you from needing to constantly refill it with water. Pretty convenient, right?
Noiseless
Another benefit is its lack of noise. From grinding the beans to making the coffee, the machine is designed to completely limit the amount of noise that can be heard. This is great for providing a calming atmosphere in your kitchen without the annoying noises that you often hear when making coffee.

Thermador Coffee Machine Disadvantages
However, this machine isn’t without faults. Now we’ve mentioned its advantages, let’s talk about its disadvantages.
The Price
At over £4,000, it is an extremely expensive coffee machine. And for the price, it doesn’t offer much more than cheaper machines apart from looking incredibly nice. It isn’t a barista-level machine (unfortunately) and can’t create complex coffees or latte art. Because of all this, it makes it difficult for many people to justify the price.
However, once more, it blends into the kitchen, which is a massive advantage for some, rather than being a bulky mess on the tabletop.
The Cleaning
It does have its own automatic cleaning system. However, many people have found that the cleaning cycle often got stuck and didn’t properly clean some parts of the machine. This has often led to a build-up of mold in some areas, causing it to break and need repairs. And the fact that it is built into the kitchen makes it exceedingly difficult to clean.
So, Should You Buy the Thermador Coffee Machine?
In short, the Thermador is a machine that has many advantages. However, the few disadvantages that it does have makes it a dealbreaker for some.
Hopefully, our review has given you all you need to make the best possible purchasing decision.
