The beauty of living in the 21st century is that you can usually find what you need with a simple click or tap. Far gone are the days of hunting around to find what you’re after.

This means that when you’re trying to find espresso makers without a frother, you shouldn’t run into any problems.

However, the real question you should be asking is: what ones are actually good?

Well, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s take a look.

RECAFIMIL Portable Coffee Maker

If you’re wanting an espresso machine that doesn’t include a steam wand, I’m guessing that’s because one or more of the following statements is true:

  • You don’t want the machine to take up too much room
  • You only like drinking espressos, not cappuccinos or lattes or any other coffee concoction that has milk
  • You already have a steam wand
  • You want something light that you can take with you on your travels

You’ll be happy to know that this option covers everything I listed. It’s a small espresso maker that is specifically designed for travel.

With that being said, you can easily pop it in your kitchen cupboard and just take it out when the urge for caffeine calls – you don’t necessarily need to take it halfway around the world.

After you’ve charged it up, it takes roughly 2 minutes to brew a delicious espresso. And you can use it 52 times on a single full charge; how crazy is that? But I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet.

The portable coffee maker comes with two brewing options! You can use either pods or coffee grounds. Both options are really simple to use and clean out; what more could you ask for?

Oh! And speaking about cleaning, you’ll be pleased to know that the whole thing can be whipped down effortlessly. Plus, it has an auto wash setting that cleans the inside of it.

L’OR Barista System Coffee and Espresso Machine Combo

Next on the list is one of L’OR’s coffee makers. Now, keep in mind that this one is a little bit bigger than the last.

However, it’s designed to sit nicely on your kitchen counter rather than in your suitcase. So as long as you’re not planning on traveling with it, then it’s a fine choice.

This multi-purpose machine is pretty good-looking if I do say so myself. And you’ll be happy to know that it makes a mean espresso. But that’s not the only thing it does; it makes pretty good black coffee as well!

Both brewing methods require pods, so if you’re wanting a machine that uses coffee grounds, then you might want to keep looking.

Apart from that, this is a fantastic espresso/coffee maker. It’s stylish (if I do say so myself), has an efficient brew time, and is very compact.

The KOTLIE Coffee Maker

Here is another great option that is certainly one of the best espresso makers without a frother.

Similar to the other one, it’s a hybrid maker that has the ability to make espressos and black coffee. Plus, you can use pods or coffee grounds.

Now what really separates the KOTLIE from the rest we’ve mentioned is its sleek design. It really does have the ability to blend into many kitchen styles, making it an excellent choice.

What’s more, this machine brews quickly, producing a hot, flavorful espresso that has a nice layer of crema on the top! And the black coffee it makes isn’t too shabby either.

Another benefit of owning this machine is that you can set it up and start using it within a matter of minutes.

Unlike some of the other machines I’ve seen throughout my years, this maker was so simple to get working after taking it out of the box.

Staresso Classic Portable Espresso Machine

Before I came across this one, I had never seen anything like it. It’s a portable manual espresso machine

Yep, you read that right.

Originally, I thought that it was basically a small French press, but after I played around with it, I realized that it is indeed a portable manual espresso maker!

Whether you want to use coffee grounds or pods, this machine will allow it.

All you have to do is insert the grounds or a pod, pour in some hot water, and press the handle a few times (for about 2 minutes).

The result? A splendid espresso that’s ready to be enjoyed.

I think the best selling point of this one is that it’s amazing for camping, especially when there aren’t any power sockets around.

The Jassy

Last but not least is the espresso machine from Jassy. I’ve reviewed another Jassy, but it does have a frother, so if you want to look, that’s up to you.

With this one, you can get espressos made in under 20 seconds! And just like many of the others, you can choose between using coffee grounds or pods.

Personally, I think the machine looks pretty standard, and it doesn’t compare to some of the others we’ve discussed today in terms of appearance.

However, it’s incredibly fast and produces a decent espresso.

Furthermore, this espresso machine is exactly that: an espresso machine. If you don’t want a hybrid or a portable maker, then this meets all your requirements.

Finishing Thoughts

I’ve covered some amazing machines that are (in my opinion) the best espresso makers without a frother. Hopefully, my options will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.
